The 1-meter lidar-based digital elevation model provides a high-resolution, accurate ground elevation base map reference for MapWV.gov web map applications. This raster dataset is also available as a web map service for GIS users.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The WV GIS Technical Center compiled a statewide mosaic of lidar-based 1-meter digital elevation models (DEM). All data are sourced from regional lidar-based DEM data sets. A table of source product specifications and a graphic depicting the footprints of the various sources is viewable <a href="https://www.mapwv.gov/floodtest/docs/WV_FloodTool_ElevationSource_Metadata.pdf"><b><u>here</u></b></a></SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P><P><SPAN>During the mosaic creation, the highest resolution DEM is preserved or prioritized over lower resolution DEM elevation sources.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P><P><SPAN>This DEM mosaic provides ground elevation values in the WV Flood Tool and is available as a GIS layer service.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
